Passport
  • • Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date of your trip. • It must also contain at least 2 blank pages.
Two identity photos
  • • They must be in colour, taken against a plain light background, in 35x45mm format and printed on photo paper (as for your identity card or passport). • Check whether your photos meet the required criteria using the following document: Photo requirements
A visa application form

  • Start by downloading and printing two copies of the visa application form using the following link: Namibia Form
  • Fill in the form in capital letters. Be precise.
  • Under the heading «Surname», write your surname.
  • Under the section «First names», write your first names.
  • Under the heading «Maiden name», if applicable, write the maiden name.
  • Under the heading «Sex», select your sex.
  • Under the heading «Marital status», indicate your marital status.
  • If applicable, indicate whether you have already applied for a resident permit in Namibie.
  • State whether you have already been refused by the authorities in Namibia.
  • State whether you have already been deported from Namibia.
  • State whether you have already been convicted of a crime in a country.
  • State whether you suffer from a mental or physical illness.
  • Under question 12, write your date, place and country of birth.
  • Under the section «Citizenship», write your current nationality.
  • Under the heading «Passport Number», write your passport number.
  • Under the heading «Place of issue», write your place of issue.
  • Under the section «Date of Issue», write your date of issue.
  • Under the section «Date of expiry», write your expiry date.
  • Under the heading «Is passport valid for travel to Namibia?», indicate whether your passport is valid for travelling to Namibia.

  • Indicate the amount of funds for your stay in Namibie.
  • State whether you have return flight tickets.
  • Under the heading «Intended date and port of arrival in Namibia», write the date and place of entry into Namibia.
  • Under the heading «What is the purpose of your visits?», write Business.
  • Under the section «If it is for business purposes, explain in detail the nature of business», explain the specific reason for your business trip to Namibia.
  • Under the section «Duration of intended visit (Number of days, weeks or months)», indicate the duration of your stay in Namibia.
  • Under the heading «Places to be visited in Namibia (full addresses, including telephone number must be provided)», indicate the addresses and phone numbers of the place(s) to be visited in Namibia.
  • Under the heading «Proposed residential address in Namibia», write the address of your hotel in Namibia.
  • If you have family members in Namibie, write their details in the table.
  • If applicable, write the date of your last stay in Namibie under the heading «Date of last visit, if any, to Namibia».
  • State whether you are a journalist under the heading «Do you contribute professionally or otherwise to publications, radio, television or films?».
  • In case of transit, indicate the country of destination after your stay in Namibia under the section «Destination after leaving Namibia».
  • Under the heading «Mode of travel to destination», indicate the means of transport for your departure.
  • Under the heading «Intended day and port of departure», write the date and place of your departure.
  • State whether you have proof of your residence in your country of destination (identity card/resident card) under the heading «Is your entry to that destination assured, e.g. do you hold a visa or a permit for permanent or temporary residence?»
  • Under the heading «Reasons for travelling through Namibia?», indicate the purpose of your trip in Namibia.
  • Sign and date your application form.
Photocopy of the identity card
  • • Make sure to make a double-sided photocopy of your identity card. • Applicants who do not hold a Belgian, Dutch or Luxembourg passport must present a copy of the residence card.
Copy of the flight tickets
  • • Print a copy of your flight reservation.
Yellow fever vaccination certificate if the traveller passes through a yellow fever zone in Africa
  • • If you are not up to date with your vaccinations (vaccination booklet), check with your treating doctor, an approved centre or a hospital. Note that there is a travel clinic (the Travel and Vaccine Clinic of the CHU Saint-Pierre in Brussels) where you can get vaccinated without an appointment.
A letter of presentation from the applicant's employer
  • This letter must be written on the company's letterhead.
  • You must state the traveller's name, date of birth and passport number, as well as the name and address of the company.
  • Check that the arrival and departure date of the visited country is also mentioned and specify the desired duration of the visa as well as the number of entries.
  • It is important to indicate that the company vouches for all costs related to the journey, with a company stamp and a signature.’

An invitation letter
  • • This letter must be written by a company or organisation officially registered in Namibia. • This must be addressed to the consulate of Namibia in Brussels • State the traveller's name, date of birth and passport number. • Check that the arrival and departure date of the destination country is also stated, as well as the desired visa duration and the number of entries. • The letter must be signed and bear an official company stamp • You can download a sample invitation letter here: Sample invitation letter
