Passport
- — Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of your visa application.
- — It must also contain at least 2 blank pages.
Identity photo
- — These must be in colour, taken against a plain light background, in 35x45mm format and printed on photo paper (as for your identity card or passport).

- — Confirm your password.
- — Note down your identification number from your electronic questionnaire (example 29385041). You can also click on «impression de votre numéro du formulaire».
- — Then click on «Continuer».
- — Under the section Nationality, select in the drop-down menu the name of the country or organization whose passport you will use to enter the territory of the Russian Federation.
- — Under the section If you had USSR nationality at some time please select «yes» and indicate when and why you lost it, indicate «Yes» in this box if you have had USSR or Russian nationality, otherwise indicate «non». If the answer is positive, additional questions must then be answered.
- — Under the section Purpose of visit (section), select in the drop-down menu the purpose of travel «TOURISM».
- — Under the section Purpose of visit, select «TOURISM» in the drop-down menu. If your trip includes a professional aspect (business visits, meeting, etc.), select «AIM-TOURISM» in the drop-down menu. If you are travelling in a group, select «TOURIST GROUP»
- — Under the section Visa category and type, select in the drop-down menu the purpose of travel «COMMON TOURIST» or «COMMON TOURIST GROUP», if you are travelling in a group.
- — Under the section Number of entries, indicate the number of entries requested.
- — Under the section Date of entry into Russia, write the date of arrival in Russia in the format dd/mm/yyyy.
- — Under the section Date of exit from Russia, write the planned departure date from Russia in the format dd/mm/yyyy.
- — Under the section Surname, indicate your name in Latin letters as it appears on your passport.
- — Then, under the heading First name, middle names, patronymic names, write your first name(s) in characters of the English Latin alphabet as in your passport.
- — If you possess or use another name (maiden name, pseudonyms, religious titles), under the heading Have you ever had other names (maiden name, pseudonym, holy order etc.)?, select «Yes» in the drop-down menu and indicate all the names (surnames, pseudonyms, religious titles – 8 names maximum), one name per input field. To add an input field, click on the «Ajouter» button.
- — Under the section Sex, select your sex in the drop-down menu.
- — Under the section Date of birth, write the day and year of your birth and select the month of your birth in the drop-down menu.
- — Under the section Your place of birth, indicate the place of birth in accordance with the passport
- — If you were born in Russia, select ‘‘Yes’’ in the drop-down menu under the section If you were born in Russia, select «yes» and specify when and which country you have immigrated to. Indicate when and to which country you emigrated.
- — Then click on «Continuer» to fill in the passport information.
- — Under the section Passport number, indicate the number of your passport (including the series).
- — Under the section Date of issue, write the date of issue of your passport in the order dd/mm/yy.
- — Under the section Date of expiry, indicate the expiry date of your passport's validity in the format dd/mm/yy.
- — Then click on «Continuer» to fill in the information about your stay.
- — Under the section Which institution you are going to visit?, select «Travel company» in the drop-down menu. In case of transit, please select «No» in the list.
- — Under the section Name of organization, write the name of your travel agency.
- — Under the section Address, write the address in Russia of your travel agency.
- — Under the section Reference number, write the reference number of your tourist voucher. The reference number is printed on the bottom line of the foreign tourist reception confirmation after the heading «Reference №». Please enter it in full exactly as it is, without omitting the zeros at the beginning.
- — Then, under the heading Confirmation number, write the confirmation number of your tourist voucher. The confirmation number of the foreign tourist's reception is printed on the top line. This number may contain only digits or digits with letters. Please enter only the digits.
- — Under the section Itinerary (places of visit), indicate the cities you will visit in Russia. Please put only one locality in each box. To indicate the next locality, press the «Ajouter» button
- — You must have travel insurance for Russia before you fill in the form. Under the heading Do you have medical insurance policy valid in Russia?, select «Yes» in the drop-down menu. Then, under the heading Provide details, write the name of your insurance company and the number of your insurance policy.

- — If you are currently working, select «Yes» under the heading Do you work (study) in the present time? Under the heading Name of employer, write the name of your employer. Under the heading Work position, write your job title. Under the heading Employer address, indicate your place of work and under the heading Work telephone, indicate the telephone number of your employer.
- — If you are retired, write «retraite» under the sections Name of employer and Work position. Under the section Employer address, write your residential address and under the section Work telephone, write your telephone number.
- — Under the section Children under 16 years and other relatives written in your passport and travelling with you, select «Yes» in the drop-down menu if you are accompanied by children under 16 years or other relatives; otherwise please select «No». If your answer to this question is affirmative, please provide details.
- — Under the section Do you currently have relatives in Russia?, select «Yes» if you currently have family ties on the territory of Russia, otherwise indicate «Non». If your answer to this question is affirmative, please indicate them, providing the information in a separate input field for each person. To add an input field, please click the «Ajouter» button.
- — If you currently have family ties in the territory of Russie, select «Yes» under the heading Do you currently have relatives in Russia? If you answer this question affirmatively, please indicate them by providing the information in a separate input field for each person. To add an input field, please click on the «Ajouter» button.
- — Click on «Continuer» to fill in the date and place of your application.
- — Under the section Select the location where you will be applying for your visa Destination name, select «Visa Application Center VFS (Antwerp)» in the drop-down menu.
- — Click on «Continuer» to view the draft of your application form. If you wish to modify your form, click on «Modifier» in the relevant section. If you are happy with your form, click on «Sauvegarder».
- — Click on «Le formulaire en format A4» to print your application form.
- — Sign and date your application form.
A tourist voucher
- — A voucher certifying that all services related to this trip have been paid in full. This is a document in Russian that the hotel can normally provide.
The return flight reservation
- — • Print a copy of your return flight reservation.
- — • The details of all flights are required when it concerns an itinerary (transit, etc.)
A travel insurance certificate
- — Be in the traveller's name. (Insurance in a company's name will not be accepted)
- — Specify that the traveller's insurance is also valid in Russie or worldwide.
- — A written declaration in English, French or Russian.
- — State the duration of the applicant's stay in Russia as well as the period of validity of the insurance. (The insurance must cover the entire validity of the requested visa) the insurance must cover at least the entire validity of the visa, but may cover more.
- — Please request one declaration per person.
- — State the policy number
- — Be signed by the insurer.
Other additional documents to be provided depending on the applicant's situation
- — Proof of sufficient funds
- — If you are retired, unemployed, a student or a housewife, you must provide proof of sufficient funds or a copy of the applicant's last three bank statements (or those of the applicant's parents if the traveller is a student) showing a credit balance of at least 1.000 Euros.
- — Residence permit
- — If you are not Belgian: You must provide a double-sided copy of the residence permit in Belgique.
- — The day-by-day itinerary
- — If you are going to stay in Russie for more than two weeks, you must provide the day-by-day itinerary supplied by a Russian travel agency.
Passport
- — Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the date of your visa application.

A letter of introduction written by the applicant's employer
- — The letter must contain the company's letterhead, state the name and address of the company, and must be signed and stamped by the Belgian company.
- — It must state the name of the applicant, date of birth and passport number.
- — Check that the number of entries and the validity period of the visa are also mentioned, as well as the date of arrival and departure of the country for which the visa is requested.
- — The letter must state that the company will bear all costs during the journey.
- — Indicate the Russian authority(ies) that will be visited by the traveller (name and address).
- — The letter must be written in English.
An official invitation letter from the organisation in Russia
- — The letter must be signed and drafted, in Russian, by a company or organization officially registered in Russia with an official company stamp.
- — State the number of entries and the duration of the applicant's stay as well as the dates of entry and exit.
- — The letter must also state the name and passport number of the applicant.
- — Include the registration number (from the Ministère des Affaires étrangères in Russia) and the date of issue.
- — The letter must be addressed to the consulate in Brussels.
- — Make sure that the dates are properly stated.

- — We can handle your application and obtain your visa within 8 working days if you opt for the normal procedure. For more urgent applications, opt for express processing which takes 4 working days.
