Passport
- — • Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the return date of your trip. • It must also contain at least 2 blank pages.
Two identity photos
- — • They must be in colour, taken against a plain light background, in 35x45mm format and printed on photo paper (as for your identity card or passport). • You can check whether your photos meet the required criteria using the following document: Photo requirements
Two visa application forms
- — • Start by downloading and printing two copies of the visa application form using the following link: Equatorial Guinea form • Fill in the form in capital letters. Be precise. • Carefully fill in your personal details and the details of your passport. • In the « Contact en Guinée Équatoriale » field, write the name of your travel agency or your hotel if you are travelling for strictly touristic reasons, or, if you plan to visit someone, note that person's name and contact details. • Then note the length of your stay, as well as the entry and exit date. • Date and sign the form.
Certificate of good conduct
- — • You can obtain your certificate of good conduct from your municipal office. An original copy is required.
Yellow fever vaccination certificate
- — • If you are not up to date with your vaccinations (vaccination booklet), check with your treating doctor, an approved centre or a hospital. Note that there is a travel clinic (the Travel and Vaccine Clinic of the CHU Saint-Pierre in Brussels) where you can get vaccinated without an appointment.
Hotel reservation or an invitation letter from your host
- — • Print a copy of your accommodation reservation or ask your host to write a letter explaining that you plan to stay with them.
Copy of the flight tickets
- — • Print a copy of your return flight reservation.
Bank certificate or account statement
- — • This is required to prove that you have sufficient funds available to travel to Equatorial Guinea. You must prove that you have a minimum of €2,000 in your bank account. The bank statement must show your name, the balance and the date (no more than two weeks before the date the visa application is submitted).
Letter of invitation
- — • It must be legalised by the authorities of the emigration service of Equatorial Guinea and must state the traveller's name and passport number. • The letter must be valid for at least 3 weeks after the date it is written. • Note that instead of the invitation letter you may submit a letter from the employer certifying that the visa applicant is on leave and is travelling to the country purely for tourism.

Cover letter from the applicant's employer
- — • This letter must be written on the company's headed paper. • State the traveller's name, date of birth and passport number, as well as the name and address of the company. • Check that the arrival and departure date of the visited country is also stated and specify the desired visa duration and the number of entries. • It is important to state that the company guarantees all costs related to the trip, with a company stamp and a signature. • You can download a sample letter of introduction here: Sample letter of introduction
Processing time
- — We can handle your application and obtain your visa within 8-12 working days if you opt for the normal procedure. For more urgent applications, opt for express processing which takes 4-6 working days. Rush applications are sometimes possible, contact us for this type of exceptional request.
